Taking Space Workshops
Feel confident. Be prepared. Take back space.
Taking Space Women's Safety Workshops help women and girls feel more confident navigating everyday situations—from pumping gas and loading groceries into the car to walking through their neighbourhoods.
Our workshops focus on prevention, awareness, recognizing concerning behaviour, and practical safety skills. Each event includes live demonstrations, professional instruction, and opportunities to practise techniques in a supportive environment.
What to Expect
Taking Space workshops combine information sessions, live demonstrations, and hands-on learning. Participants will have opportunities to ask questions, practise techniques, and learn practical strategies they can apply in their daily lives.
No previous experience is required.
All workshops include beverages and light snacks. Safety products will also be available for purchase at the event, including Build-Your-Own Safety Keychains.
